![]() ![]() ![]() Both paths, meaning both those events are always happening parallelly on opposite sides, with or without you. Effectively, if you only play 1 path you miss out on a third of the game. so in order to play this game in full, you NEED to play both paths. It's really almost more like an additional chapter than alternative path. my mind was BLOWN!!! This game has COMPLETELY different chapter 2 depending on which path you take, and I mean COMPLETELY, it's totally new location, with new quests and characters, and all other side of the story you would otherwise never know. I will tell you this and it is probably more important than the choice you make when I replayed the game on Iorveth's path. So really, you can totally make argument for both sides depending how you perceive it :) I kind of felt that is not my path or priority at all and thought it makes sense to side with Scoia'tael who know where they are going and are leaving now, and also want to get Letho!! Like at the end of Chapter 1, Triss is kidnapped, Letho, the damn Kingslayer we are hunting fled, with her, and we should go after them immediately! it's the whole reason we are there, but he wants to stay behind and deal with Loredo. It bothered me much more how hot-headed and impulsive Roche can be at times, and I didn't feel anymore his main goal is to find Kingslayer, I felt he got to distracted by other things and wanted to deal with whatever problem he thinks is more important at the moment. Second time I played I was planing to do Iorveth's path anyway, but by than I also felt a bit different. It also felt smarter, since I already have a bad name and want to clear it, to align myself with a respected Tamerian officer rather than with a Scoia'tael leader who most people think of as criminal and terrorist, so I went with Roche originally. We came to Flotsam with him so in my mind it made sense to stick with him and The Stripes to resolve this mess. And it was Roche that trusted us enough to set us free and set out with us to hunt down Kingslayer, the guy who set me up and also killed his king, so we were on the same side here. ![]() I played both paths 2 times by now and I can say this my thinking for both path was, when I played it blind I felt Roche is right choice in that moment, because this whole things started as political mess, and us being in the middle of it, falsely accused of regicide. Ok this will be long but I can't sleep and feel like talking about Witcher 2, I wont post any spoilers past chapter 1 :) But he's simply hitching a ride with them it's not like he's tacking on a squirrel tail and starts to lurk in bushes to ambush merchants. So both decisions are entirely reasonable from Geralt's personal perspective - is he going to stay loyal to the guy who helped him the first place, or does the safety of his friend and his ultimate goal of catching the kingslayer take preference? Some argue that Geralt would never join the Scoia'tael - and they're right, IMO. Iorveth, however, tells you immediately: "Okay, get me on that barge in the port, and we'll set sail." And when Geralt goes to tell Roche that they must sail after them, Roche wants to dally around a bit longer, because he's decided to go after Loredo. Geralt probably would have caught the kingslayer there and then if Roche didn't barge into the scene, and then Letho kidnaps Triss. So if you wish to stay loyal to him, it's a perfectly understandable decision.īut on the other hand, after the first encounter with Letho, Geralt and Roche's immediate goals become very conflicted. Head over to our upcoming CD Projekt Red games guide for a look at all the upcoming projects the studio currently has on the go.Roche is the guy who believes Geralt when no one else does, springs him out of prison, and essentially saves Geralt's life since he was about to be hanged. There's a lot we didn't know about Sirius, and that was before the project was either rebooted or expanded in scope under CD Projekt. It'll also feature co-op gameplay, assuming that's still the plan after this possible reboot. Sirius will offer multiplayer gameplay, last we heard from CD Projekt. The studio was always slated to work on the next entry in the Witcher series, except with this possible reboot, it might not be the next Witcher game in line to launch after all. Right now at least, The Witcher's Sirius project is still in development at The Molasses Flood, a Boston-based studio that CD Projekt acquired in 2021. We've heard relatively little since Sirius was first announced last October, but it's always been slated as a Witcher game that'll appeal to fans of the Netflix show. ![]() It either means Project Sirius has been entirely rebooted, or it has expanded dramatically in scope. ![]()
